Family Hike...

Well, the fall season is not quite here yet, but after Tropical Storm Hanna rolled through on Saturday we got some much needed cooler weather on Sunday. We decided to take our first "fall season" family hike. We love being outdoors and luckily both boys are nature lovers too. So we headed up to Cranberry Mountain with the boys and the dogs. Jaxon just chilled out in the Kelty Carrier (please, I know, how in the world does Nick carry him on his back! The boy is 30 pounds!) and enjoyed the scenery. Luca is now on his second year of hiking to the lake and back - a good 2 mile hike. He is getting so strong! Of course, it takes a while to get anywhere, as Luca is a "nature looker" as we call him. He stops for everything...flowers for Mommy, an interesting rock, a shotgun shell, etc.
PS - We've given up on wondering where Luca's fashion sense comes from. Luckily, no one other than nature's creatures can see this outfit - rain boots and shorts!
